Lower Entry Fees for Junior Divisions in SDGPT 2026
For the 2026 season, the Swedish Disc Golf Pro Tour is making a targeted investment in the future of Swedish disc golf. Entry fees for the junior divisions MJ18 and FJ18 will be reduced from 800 SEK to 600 SEK at all SDGPT events.
This change is part of our long-term commitment to growing junior participation and lowering barriers to high-level competition.
Why Lowering Junior Entry Fees Matters
1. Lower Financial Barriers
Competitive disc golf can be expensive, especially for juniors and their families. Travel, accommodation and entry fees add up quickly, and many juniors rely on support from parents, clubs, or local sponsors. By reducing the entry fee, we aim to make SDGPT events more accessible and easier to budget for those supporting young players.
2. Encouraging Early Competitive Experience
Playing tour-level events is a crucial step in a junior player’s development. Lower entry fees make it easier for young athletes to gain experience in a professional tournament environment, helping them improve faster and prepare for future elite competition.
3. Growing the Next Generation of Pros
Today’s juniors are tomorrow’s touring professionals, ambassadors, and tournament directors. Making SDGPT more accessible at a young age strengthens the long-term ecosystem of Swedish disc golf.
